Local residents are being asked to share their views on Warminster’s play areas as part of a town council consultation.
The informal six-week consultation by Warminster Town Council, will run from Monday 19th October to Monday 30th November and invites views, ideas and priorities for the council-managed play areas in the town.
The short survey asks how and why each play area could be improved, with space for additional comments, questions and concerns.
Chair of Warminster’s Parks and Estate Committee, Cllr Stacie Allensby, said, “This survey will help us understand which play areas are used most often, who uses them and how. The findings will guide improvements where they are needed most.
“The more detail you provide, the better we can ensure our play areas meet the community’s needs and expectations. We also encourage children to help complete the survey, as their ideas and experiences are vital to creating inclusive, enjoyable spaces for young people of all ages.”
Warminster Town Council manages play areas at the Lake Pleasure Grounds, Portway, Queensway, The Dene, Princess Gardens, The Beeches, Pound Street, Fore Street and The Heathlands. The play area at Victoria Fields is not owned or managed by the town council. Any play area not listed in the survey is also not managed by Warminster Town Council.
This consultation follows the success of the Lake Pleasure Grounds survey, which received 588 responses and highlighted useful new concerns.
