Students at Kingdown School stepped into the world of work recently and experienced their first ever job interview.
The event was supported by 28 local business professionals who interviewed more than 200 students during the course of the day.
Chantell Knight, careers lead at Kingdown School, said, “We hope this activity has given the students confidence and experience in the interview process.
“It was impressive to see the students taking this activity seriously and giving the interview their best. Many employers commented on the professionalism of the students who participated and stated they would have got the job!”
The activity concluded the work that the students had been undertaking in their English lessons on CV and letter of application writing. During the day, students participated in a 15-minute interview followed by constructive feedback.
School staff have thanked employers, parents and business owners from Aid Training, Allan Webb, Ardagh Glass, Babcock, Blackmore, Coombes Clay, Dell, Farnfields, Forces Charity, Global Protect, Goodings Accounts, Longleat, Neon, P & O, Rabart, Sodexo, TMTI, Warminster Sport Centre, Warminster Town Council and Wiltshire College.
