A series of support cafes continue to run this year in Warminster, providing advice and friendly ear for anyone who needs a chat.
Organised by Open Door Warminster, the Friendship Chat Cafe, Prostate Cancer Support, Cancer Support and Grief and Bereavement Support groups all meet at The Athenaeum and are open to the community.
The Friendship Chat Cafe
Is open every Thursday morning for anyone who is feeling lonely or isolated. The Chat Cafe runs from 10am to 12pm at The Athenaeum.
Prostate Cancer Support
The Prostate Cancer Support group meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 7pm to 8.30pm. The group aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer, encourage understanding of the symptoms and provide a safe space for men affected the disease to share their experiences.
Cancer Support
The Cancer Support group meets every first and third Friday of the month between 10am and 12pm. The group is open to anyone affected by cancer directly or are supporting a loved on.
Grief and Bereavement Support
The group meets every second and fourth Friday of the month from 10am to 12pm, for anyone processing or adjusting to a change in their life.
