The highlight of the Bank Holiday weekend round of fixtures was the 224-run opening partnership between Jude Cierpicki and Evan Collier for the Warminster Cricket Club 2nd XI.
The Bank Holiday weekend brought the sun and a strong Chippenham 1st XI to Sambourne Road to play the Warminster 1st XI. Chippenham won the toss and decided to bat first and whilst none of the Chippenham batsmen were able to make an innings-defining score, runs were accumulated steadily. They finished on 236 runs for eight wickets from their 50 overs, with the pick of the Warminster bowlers, Alex Adlam, taking four wickets for 33 runs from his 10 overs.
Unfortunately, the Warminster reply began with a collapse, with three batsmen out before a run had been scored. It was difficult for the team to recover from this start, and they were ultimately all out for 108 runs.
