The newly launched Warminster Memory Group is calling for volunteers to help support its weekly activities.
Run by Alzheimer’s Support, which already operates the Old Silk Works day club and a successful dementia art group in Warminster, the new group promises to be an exciting addition to the local community.
Meeting in the foyer at Christ Church on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 3.30pm, the group combines several of the charity’s much-loved activities – including a Memory Café, Music for the Mind and gentle exercise through Movement for the Mind.
Cathy Lawrence, community service coordinator for Alzheimer’s Support, said, “We’d love to welcome more volunteers to this fun and friendly space!
“You’d be required to help set up, engage with members, meet new people and take part in activities, all while enjoying plenty of tea and cake.
“No experience needed – just bring a friendly attitude and a willingness to get involved.
“If you’re interested, feel free to join us for a taster session and see if it’s the right fit for you.”
