Readers of the Warminster Journal have raised £1,947 for Dorothy House Hospice Care through donations for messages in the newspaper’s Family Messages column.
The funds were raised through donations in 2025 from readers of Warminster Journal and its sister publications, White Horse News in Westbury, Melksham News and Frome Times.
Readers are invited to make a donation to the hospice when submitting a message in the Family Messages column, with all proceeds going directly to support the local charity. This year’s total exceeds the 2024 figure of £1,575.
Manager at a Dorothy House charity shop, Ula said, “These funds are vital because they are for running the hospice, for the nurses, for the staff, for the shops to be able to still operate for many volunteers and it’s to help Dorothy House to run the services that we are running.
“We are very grateful. Thank you, Warminster Journal.”
