A rider from Warminster Saddle Club has been awarded a scholarship recognising talented military athletes.
Lance Corporal Amy Fletcher, and her mare Jennie, have been selected to receive an Army Equitation Scholarship. This is part of the Army Sport Scholarship Scheme, which offers support to talented athletes in the military.
“This is a huge achievement and acknowledges their commitment to their corps team, as well as their potential to step up to the Army teams with the funding to support additional training,” said Paula, the Yard Manager at Warminster Saddle Club.
“Amy has also been nominated for an award by her colleagues at Army Equitation for her commitment to the sport.
“Warminster Saddle Club are very proud and look forward to seeing what they achieve next year.”
