Community groups and charities have been encouraged to apply for a grant from Warminster Town Council.
Each year the town council allocates budgeted funds to anything which, in the council’s opinion, is in the interest of its area or part of its area, or in the interest of all or some of the inhabitants of that area.
Applications are now open for the 2025 community grant scheme.
Only one grant per organisation may be given in any council year, which is limited to £2,500 per applicant.
The award of a grant comes with the proviso that the recipient should attend the Annual Town Meeting to report on how the money has been used or, if this is not possible, must provide the Town Clerk with a written report for the meeting.
At the most recent Annual Town Meeting in March, recipients of community grants spoke at length about the difference the funding had meant to them. Organisations such as Warminster Walkers, We Are Men, Inspire Music Festival and Warminster Carnival gave updates.
If you would like to apply for a grant on behalf of your organisation, visit the Warminster Town Council website and download an application pack. The deadline for applications will be Monday 16th June. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
Applicants are required to provide sight of their accounts, invoices or quotations for the project, details of other funding requests, and Terms of Reference, Constitution and Memorandum and Articles if relevant.
Packs can also be emailed to you via admin@warminster-tc.gov.uk or you can collect an application pack in person from Warminster Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB.
The applications for 2025 will be heard at the Finance and Audit Committee meeting scheduled for Monday 30th June 2025.
