A Warminster resident has launched a new body mist specially formulated for tween and teen girls.
Amanda Johnson launched her personal care brand blossom & beau last year after struggling to find a natural, age-appropriate deodorant for her then seven-year-old daughter, Chloe.
Amanda, who has worked as a paramedic for 20 years and is a mum of five, has now launched the Dazzling Diva Natural Body Mist, a light, water-based spray in the same Parma Violet and Peony fragrance as the brand’s Dazzling Diva deodorant.
“Dazzling Diva was never meant to be a single product, it was always meant to be the start of a routine,” said Amanda. “The body mist felt like the obvious next step: a way to give girls a first taste of fragrance that isn’t a diluted grown-up perfume, but something made just for them, with the same gentle, natural approach as the deodorant they already know and love.”
The product is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, paraben-free, dermatologically tested and suitable for everyday use.
The launch follows a successful year for blossom & beau, with its Dazzling Diva deodorant winning a Vegan Choice Award and being shortlisted for the Junior Design Awards. The brand has also received a Theo Paphitis Small Business Award and is a finalist for the London Packaging Week Innovation Awards.
Amanda has also secured backing for the business after pitching it on Bristol’s Wheel of Dreams.
Amanda said, “This year has completely changed what feels possible for blossom & beau. Winning a Vegan Choice Award, being shortlisted for the Junior Design Awards, and securing backing on the Wheel of Dreams gave us both the confidence and the means to expand the range properly, rather than rushing it. The body mist is the first product to come out of that momentum, and it won’t be the last.”
