West Wilts Hockey Club season starts with successful club day

West Wilts Hockey Club enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season as players of all ages came together for a highly successful Club Day at the Army Hockey Pitch in Warminster.

The morning began with the junior session, which saw young players take part in a range of fun activities and games designed to introduce hockey skills in an enjoyable and welcoming environment. Children from across the local area joined club members and coaches, with plenty of smiles, enthusiasm and teamwork on display throughout the session.

Following the juniors, the adults took to the pitch for their own Club Day. Existing members were joined by prospective new players for a morning of short-sided matches and fun games, providing a relaxed and sociable way for everyone to get back into hockey ahead of the new season. The emphasis was firmly on enjoyment, participation and welcoming new faces to the club.

With pre-season now complete, training has resumed for all age groups. Junior training takes place every Wednesday during term time, while senior teams are already preparing for the start of their league campaigns.

West Wilts Hockey Club caters for players of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced competitors, and prides itself on offering a friendly and supportive environment both on and off the pitch.
