The next talk at the Warminster branch of the u3a will be led by an expert on maritime art.
Dr James Taylor, former curator of pictures at the National Maritime Museum, will tell the story of Lord Nelson’s extraordinary life through period paintings, drawings and prints.
Vice-Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson’s was a British Naval Commander in the wars with revolutionary and Napoleonic France, who died on the deck of HMS Victory on 21st October 1805, at the age of 47.
The talk will take place at Warminster Civic Centre on Wednesday 29th October. Entry costs £3 and will include tea, coffee and biscuits from 2pm to 2.30pm. The speaker will start at 2.45pm.
