Stolen items with “huge sentimental value” have been recovered by police in Warminster.
They were found during a search of a property in the town following the arrest of a suspect in connection with a burglary.
A stopwatch, medals and military badges are among the items recovered.
Police also found a black photo album featuring a peacock and Mount Fuji design. Inside are sepia-toned pictures of a young man in military uniform, alongside images that appear to be from a beach holiday. A group photo of ‘Course No. 69 All Arms Drill Wing’ in Pirbright, Surrey, was also among the items discovered.
In a statement, Warminster Police said, “We can imagine some of these may have huge sentimental value and are keen to reunite them with their rightful owner.
