A charity Burns Night supper raised £640 for the Wessex MS Therapy Centre last month.
The event brought together staff, volunteers, members of the centre and people from the wider community for an evening of Scottish food celebrating Robert Burns.
A volunteer oxygen operator at the centre, Andrew, who is also a trained chef, offered his services to prepare the meal.
“The food was outstanding from start to finish, comforting, traditional and presented with real passion,” said the centre’s CEO, Rosie Eliot. “The haggis with whisky sauce was a standout dish that set the tone for a truly unforgettable evening. We can’t thank Andrew enough!”
“A special thank you also goes to Evelyn, one of our members, who delivered a brilliant and heartfelt address to a haggis, providing one of the standout moments of the night and perfectly capturing the spirit of Burns Night.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, donated and supported the event, as well as those who helped behind the scenes.
“Community events like this play a vital role in supporting our charity, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved.”
The Wessex MS Therapy Centre is a Warminster-based charity dedicated to supporting people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
