A local football club has bought portable defibrillators for three of its youth teams thanks to support from the local community.
Heytesbury and Codford Football Club purchased the defibrillators for their U10s, U12s and U14s teams, ensuring life-saving equipment is on hand at every match and training session.
The defibrillators were funded through a combination of money raised by the club, a donation from Warminster Lions Club and a grant from the Warminster Area Board.
“These units can travel with the teams every time they play or train, helping to ensure the safety of players, staff and supporters,” said Tom O’Brien, Club Chairman.
“The welfare of everyone at the club is important. Hopefully we will not have to use them, but we are ready if needed.”
