Nominations are now open for the 2025 Warminster Town Council Civic Awards, recognising individuals, groups and businesses who go above and beyond to improve life in the town.
The winners will be invited to an award ceremony where they will receive a certificate presented by the Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Andrew Cooper, and be joined by family and friends for an afternoon tea.
Any member of the public can nominate an individual or group for an award. Award winners will be decided at the Full Council meeting on Monday 24th November. The closing date for nominations is Monday 10th November.
“This is a really great opportunity to nominate someone in the town that goes the extra mile and makes a difference to our wonderful community,” said Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Andrew Cooper. “Nominate people who have gone above and beyond – don’t hold back – nominate someone.”
There are four categories including the Civic Award for an individual aged 18 or over who has made a significant difference in the community, the Junior Civic Award for a young person under 18 for achievement within the community, the Green Civic Award for environmental efforts by an individual or group, and the Environmental Award for businesses recognising contributions towards tackling climate change and working towards net zero. This year, businesses can also nominate themselves for the Environmental Award.
Judging is carried out by Warminster Town Council members and considers both individual impact and the ability to inspire others.
To nominate, complete the form on the council website or call in at the Civic Centre for a paper copy.
