Young people from across Warminster planted flowers in the Lake Pleasure Grounds as part of an annual initiative launched in 2016.
Children from Barney Lodge Nursery, New Close Primary School and St George’s Catholic Primary School were the first to fill flower beds on Friday 5th June. Pupils from The Minster CofE Primary School, Princecroft Primary School, Warminster School and Sambourne CofE Primary School joined in the following week, planting more flowers around the park.
The plants are paid for by Warminster Town Council, which runs the initiative to help brighten the town’s park.
“The Lake Pleasure Grounds is constantly evolving but we are delighted to continue this wonderful initiative, working with local schools to plant flowers around the park,” said a spokesperson for the town council.
“We take great pride in maintaining our much-loved community asset and working with the next generation.”
