A team of 40 volunteers from the Wessex MS Therapy Centre helped raise money and awareness for the charity by working as stewards at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
They were based in the Greenpeace area, which featured live DJ sets and Letters Live – a celebration of the power of the written word, with well-known performers reading letters on climate and nature.
The Wessex MS Therapy Centre, based in Warminster, provides care, support and therapy for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.
Amanda Strong, fundraiser and events co-ordinator at the centre, said,
“Having 40 amazing volunteers representing Wessex MS Therapy Centre at Glastonbury is truly inspiring. Their support not only raises vital awareness and funds for our charity, but helps us continue providing life-changing therapies for people with MS and neurological conditions. We’re so grateful for their energy and commitment – and thrilled they also get to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the incredible music as part of such a memorable experience.”
