Wheelchair accessible coach and minibus trips offer days out for all

A series of day trips for senior citizens, disabled people and friends is being offered by a local community interest company.

Lin’s Leisure Trips has a wide variety of trips planned for the summer to popular seaside towns and other destinations including Slimbridge, Bicester Village, Tyntesfield National Trust, Cadbury World in Birmingham and West Midlands Safari Park.

“The majority of people who go on our trips are senior citizens or disabled people but our trips are open to everyone,” said Lin, who set up Lin’s Leisure Trips in 2012. “We aim to organise a wide variety of trips to suit everyone and are always open to new ideas.

“We are a not-for-profit company and our coach and minibus are wheelchair accessible. Pick-ups can be arranged from central locations in and around Warminster, with details agreed in advance based on where passengers live.

“Concessionary fares are available for senior citizens and disabled people and if an attraction offers free entry for an essential carer or support worker, the trip price will be adjusted so the carer only pays for transport.”

The trips planned for the summer are: Friday August 21st August – Slimbridge; Tuesday 25th August – Bicester Village; Friday 28th August – Sidmouth; Wednesday 9th September – Weymouth; Friday 11th September – Tyntesfield National Trust or Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm; Thursday 17th September – Cadbury World, Birmingham; and Friday 25th September – West Midlands Safari Park.
