A call-out has been made for volunteers to get involved at Warminster Town FC.
The club’s committee hopes new members can “help us grow and keep things running smoothly.”
No experience is necessary, and volunteers can give as much time as they’re able. Roles include bar work, cleaning, general maintenance, match day assistance and helping with fundraising.
John Tullett, a committee member at the club, said, “There is a lot volunteers can do. You can help out on match day, with catering, look after the bar or do a bit of work at the stadium.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s an hour a day or an hour a week — we appreciate any and all help. There’s no age limit; it could also be great for a teenager looking for a bit of work experience.
“It’s a really good crowd and it would be great to get more people joining us for next season.”
John, originally from Brighton, previously played semi-professionally for Lewes and also managed and coached teams. The 73-year-old moved to Warminster after taking early retirement due to health issues. He has been attending Warminster Town matches for the past 10 years and now volunteers on match days and as a committee member.
He added, “It’s a really good team and a really good crowd at games — a real family-friendly atmosphere. We’re excited for what’s to come next and would love to have more volunteers on board. It’s a friendly bunch and you get a lot out of volunteering.”

AGM
An AGM will also be held at Warminster Football Club on Weymouth Street on Thursday 29th May at 7.30pm to discuss the club’s future.
