A cycling event is returning to Longleat after a 10-year break to raise money for a Motor Neurone Disease charity.
The Lionheart Sportive will begin at Longleat House on Sunday 11th October from 8am.
Participants can choose from either the 100km route or the 100-mile route, which features over 2,000 metres of elevation across Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset roads.
“Expect rolling landscapes, quiet country lanes, spectacular views, and one legendary challenge – the formidable climb of King Alfred’s Tower, a true highlight that will reward every rider who conquers it,” said a spokesperson from Pronto Bikes in Frome, which is organising the event.
“We are privileged to count former England rugby captain Lewis Moody as a customer. Following Lewis’s devastating diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), we are proud to be raising funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, a charity dedicated to funding research into MND and supporting those affected by the disease.”
